A popular hotel on Loch Lomondside is celebrating after winning a batch of nine regional honours.

The Lodge on Loch Lomond was competing in the Argyll and Lomond category of the Scottish Hotel Awards.

The hotel earned the most awards out of all nominees at the regional ceremony.

There were four awards for the hotel, including large wedding hotel, family hotel, business hotel and large conference hotel of the year 2019.

Five members of the Lodge’s team also picked up people of excellence awards bringing their total tally to nine.

Anita Tamasova was named restaurant manager of the year and Stephen McQueen picked up the award for maintenance and grounds.

Sasha Jovanovic was awarded drinks specialist of the year and Graeme Brown was crowned as the sous chef of the year.

The entire wedding team also added to their honours with the award for wedding team of the year, which is their second year running for this prestigious award.

Sales manager Sandra Cunningham said: “We’re extremely proud of the team here at the Lodge on Loch Lomond, and unbelievably happy at the amount of awards we’ve come away with. It’s shaping up to be a pretty great year for us.”

The hotel will now move forward in all categories to the national awards.

It has 48 guest bedrooms, a range of conference and banqueting facilities for up to 200 guests, and leisure facilities consisting of swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.
