LAST week, it was announced that jewellery and fashion brand Stella and Dot would be exiting Europe in a matter of months.

The US firm blamed the swift farewell on recent declines in the value of the pound and euro while announcing that their latest range would be the last available to purchase this side of the pond.

I was sad to hear this news having just been invited to check out their new range by one of the company’s Glasgow-based sellers. In all honesty, finding out that the chance to get my hands on precious pieces from the collection would soon slip out of reach, only made me more eager to go and browse the best of the new range.

And I am so glad I did because there are some seriously stunning, soon to be unavailable items, which I absolutely adored.

The first item which caught my eye was the Julia Coin Pendant which I immediately pictured wearing as a layered look with gold chains of different lengths under a crisp white shirt. If you like to see your money quite literally hanging from your neck then this vintage medallion style will be right up your street.

Another stylish piece of neck candy from the new range which I was obsessed with featured a shiny silver horn charm – glam enough to stand out against a little black dress but also delicate enough to bring a casual daytime tee to life.

Now, marble styles aren’t always my favourite when it comes to jewellery but the Stone Rebel bracelets were stand out pieces for me. Coming in both black and white versions, the funky stone inset positioned against shiny gold plating creates a both classy and edgy look, especially when paired with the matching stud earrings.

My final favourites from the collection had me falling in love at first sight. The Essential Hammered Heart Hoops breathe new life into the statement earring trend with a sleek heart shaped subtleness that I just couldn’t get enough of.

While I could spend all day talking about the brand’s charming chains and elegant earrings, I’m aware that time is of the essence as Stella and Dot will be exiting Europe even quicker than the UK.

Accessory admirers will have until April 1 to bag any items from the new collection and as a special farewell treat, there will be 20 per cent off everything until the American trader shuts up shop.
