Three parents of pupils at an Alexandria school have been named West Dunbartonshire's Active Schools volunteers of the month.
Marie O’Brien, Donna Robb and Tracy McCarry started volunteering at St Mary's Primary last spring.
The trio were keen to create more sporting opportunities for pupils and so far have delivered several lunchtime mini-movers clubs for children in P1 to P4.

Yvonne Macdonald, Active Schools Coordinator said “Marie, Donna and Tracy are fantastic volunteers and their willingness to give up their own time for an hour each week has made a massive difference to the infant pupils of St. Mary’s Primary School.
"Their enthusiasm to create more opportunities for pupils to participate in sport is great and I hope that they will inspire more parents to get involved!”
