Energetic pupils from St Michael’s Primary took part in a mini movers lunchtime club last week.

The class for P2/3 pupils was delivered by Active Schools work experience student, Sean Parfitt, who is currently studying towards his HNC at West College Scotland.

During the session, the children enjoyed fun games and activities which aimed to get them moving and active.

Mini movers is just one of a number of popular weekly fitness classes being held at the school, with an after-school rugby session for P6 pupils also being led by Sean on the same day.

Sean, said: “Both mini movers and rugby are great activities for pupils to get involved in and they have a great time, we get pupils involved in planning the next session and they can choose which activities they want to take part in.

“It is great to see young people enjoying a range of sport and hopefully this will help them to lead a healthier lifestyle.”
