A DUMBARTON man who acted aggressively towards a teenage girl outside a Bellsmyre community centre has been admonished after a court heard he had complied with an order to stay out of trouble.
Stephen Aird, 51, of Carman View, Bellsmyre, had admitted a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards the 13-year-old girl at the entrance to the Cutty Sark Centre in Howatshaws Road on May 15.
Sentence on Aird had been deferred for him to be of good behaviour, and a hearing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court was told by both his solicitor, Gail Campbell, and prosecutor Martina McGuigan that he had been in no further trouble since the incident.
Ms Campbell said: “The age of the complainer causes concern, but this was a case of Mr Aird intervening when he should have left well alone.”
Aird, who was not present in court at Friday’s hearing, was admonished and dismissed by Sheriff William Gallacher.
