The brother of a man shot in a Glasgow street was gunned down in the exact same location last year.
As previously reported by the Evening Times, the victim named locally as Jamie Barclay, was shot by two men driving a red Audi on Saturday morning.
It is believed the 29-year-old's brother was the victim of a similar attack in March last year.
William Barclay was attacked as he left a car with family members on Dykemuir Street.
One of the attackers shot the then 26-year-old, before chasing him down the street and repeatedly slashing him with a bladed weapon.

The car used by the gunmen was later found burnt-out in a remote country road between the A737 and B775 near to Kirklee Green Reservoir, Ayrshire.
Barclay underwent surgery following the attack.
His brother Jamie Barclay is now in a serious but stable condition after being shot by two gunmen.
The passenger in the Audi is described as in his late 30s, clean shaven and wearing a dark "tammy hat" and a dark coloured hooded jumper.

There are no descriptions of the driver.
Additional police patrols are in the area to provide reassurance to the public.
