The Glasgow star of a viral Halloween video has landed a role on an upcoming Netflix series.

Oli Keenan, from Clydebank, became an internet hit through his scarily accurate performance of Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

His portrayal of the 'It' monster caught the attention of television producers who invited the 22-year-old to audition for their upcoming show.

Oli has been sworn to secrecy regarding the name of the show but spoke exclusively to the Evening Times about his good news.

The talented performer said: "The show has previously been on television outside of Netflix but they've bought it over and it's a Netflix exclusive.

"I've signed on for two seasons with 22 episodes each.

"It's a teen drama with four leads including myself, aged between 19 and 22. It's very exciting."

After being invited to submit a video audition to producers back in November, the producers asked Oli to travel to London for a screen test for the show.

It was there he was given the news that is set to change his life forever.

The former former acting student is set to relocate to Manchester ahead of pre-production beginning in March.

He added: "The show is filmed between Bristol, Manchester and London.

"I'm probably going to move to Manchester because my best friend lives there and I'm quite familiar with the area.

"I've definitely made it a priority to ensure I'm here at Halloween.

"I know how happy it makes people and how much we as a family enjoy it, plans are well underway for us to go bigger and better than ever before.

"We are doing a totally themed experience based around the 1980s classic The Shining so people can be prepared to enter a snow covered Overlook Hotel and come face to face with the Grady Twins, Jack, Wendy and all of the other characters from the movie."
