A THIEF broke into a house in Clydebank and stole a packet of shortbread biscuits.
The property is currently unoccupied and being renovated by the owner, who observed the thief within the house, through the kitchen window of his other property at around 8am on February 17.
He went outside, which disturbed the man who broke in and the thief made off towards Duntocher Road.
Police were contacted and a search of the area was carried out, but the man was not traced.

The house owner entered his property and confirmed that only a packet of shortbread biscuits had been stolen.
A Nest Thermometer had been moved from a bedroom to the dining room floor.
There was damage to a conservatory door, a dining room window, a dining room door and the back door.
A brick was also found.
Forensics attended to take prints, and enquiries continue.
