Vale of Leven Autism and Aspergers Forum will be hosting a special guest speaker this weekend.

Dean Beadle has toured the UK for 10 years sharing his experiences of life on the autism spectrum.

In recent years he has also spoken in Denmark, Belgium, Germany and Ireland, as well as undertaking four annual seminar tours of Austria and New Zealand.

Through his humorous and insightful speeches, Dean outlines his positive outlook on his diagnosis, and will be appearing on March 23 at 6pm at the West of Scotland Autism and Aspergers Centre in Station Street, Renton.

Suzanne Gillies, chair of VOLAAF, told the Reporter: “It will be nice for parents to see an adult with autism who lives well with it. Quite a lot of parents are excited to see him. A lot of members’ kids are in secondary school and a big fear is what next, so it gives them the chance to see there is a next step and you can live a full life.”

There will be a chance to ask Dean questions at the event. Tickets cost £12, which includes a refreshment. For tickets message VOLAAF on Facebook, email info@volaaf.co.uk or call 01389 750834.
