After a disappointing turnout at their audition for Ladies in Lavender earlier this month, the members of Dumbarton People's Theatre have joined together to select another production.
Under the direction of Gregor Porterfield and Lorna Hawthorn, DPT will now perform ‘Come Blow Your Horn’ in the Denny Civic Theatre from May 1 to May 4.
The play is a Neil Simon comedy that was previously presented in the civic theatre in the late 1970s.
It will take the audience back to the early 1960s where they will meet the Baker family, residents of New York, who have two sons with very different personalities.
Confirmed bachelor, Alan, the elder, is confident, attractive and popular with the opposite sex while Buddy is shy, obedient and rather reserved.

Alan will be played by Jamie Porterfield, an experienced DPT member, and Buddy by Ross Kelbie who made a memorable debut for DPT as the cow in the December Panto.
The supporting cast includes John Clark, Jo O’Donnell, Lou Barnes, Eve Gallagher and Meghan Gall, while Debbie Chalmers will also make a brief appearance.
Watch out for notices of ticket availability, usually April in McDermid’s Keystore.
