Four pupils from Dumbarton Academy competed against teams from across the west of Scotland recently in The UKMT Junior Mathematics Challenge.
Jack Oliver (S2), Penny Hopkins (S2), Hollee Carmichael (S1) and Thomas Inglis (S1) were all chosen to take part based on their achievements in their maths classes.
Head teacher Claire McInally said: “This was a great experience for the four pupils who took part.
"They really enjoyed the day and got a chance to showcase their impressive maths skills as they competed against 30 teams from across the West of Scotland.
"They did Dumbarton Academy proud.”

The challenge took place at the University of the West of Scotland in Paisley and involved three rounds of mathematical problem-solving.
The rounds included a team challenge with the pupils working collectively to solve 20 problems in 20 minutes, a crossnumber puzzle and a relay round.
