The A82 northbound between Barloan and Lomondgate roundabouts in Dumbarton is now fully open, however, traffic remains slow in the area.
The section of road had been closed to allow for the recovery of an HGV which overturned earlier today.
The incident happened this morning at 9.25am while the vehicle was travelling northbound at the Lomondgate roundabout.
Although shaken up by the incident, fortunately the driver was not seriously injured.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland told the Reporter: "We were called at about 9.25am to a report of lorry overturned at Lomondgate roundabout.
"Emergency services are in attendance and the driver has been checked over by paramedics."
