A man has been arrested and charged after an 85-year-old woman was assaulted in her house in Dumbarton.
The pensioner, who has dementia, suffered head and facial injuries during the break-in which took place between 1.45am and 2.45am on April 14.

A 42-year-old is due before Dumbarton Sheriff Court today (April 25) in connection with the incident at the property on Hawthornhill road.
