MORE than 500 children from throughout Argyll and Bute, West Dunbartonshire and Glasgow gathered at Hermitage Academy for the annual Helensburgh Toyota Football Festival.
A total of 18 teams, all at 2010 age group level, took part in the event, which was organised by Ardencaple FC.

Helensburgh Toyota director Ernest Cowan said: “We are proud to run this festival with Ardencaple; we like to get involved with local community events, and we enjoy watching the football each year.”
Caple secretary Euan Birss said: “The event was a great success, and unlike previous years, we were lucky with the weather.
“We would like to thank all the teams for taking part – especially Dunoon and Lochgilphead, who travelled the furthest.”

The clubs represented at the festival were Ardencaple, Helensburgh, Clydebank, Renton Craigandro, St Peter’s, Haldane, Drumchapel Amateurs, Dunoon and Lochgilphead.
