SCOTRAIL'S new train timetable came into effect across the country on Sunday – and has resulted in some minor changes to the timings of some services to and from Helensburgh Central.

Under the new timetable the departure times of some trains from Glasgow Queen Street to Helensburgh has been altered – only by a few minutes, but potentially by enough for some regular travellers to have to rethink their daily routines.

ScotRail says the changes have been made to improve the spacing between train services on the busy stretch of track between Partick and Hyndland.
