STEVEN DONALD won the first class section of the monthly Breingan Medal at Helensburgh Golf Club with a net 69, edging out Dominic Taylor thanks to a better inward half.
The second class was won by Ronald Holmes whose net 68 was the best score of the day; John Craig was the third class winner with a net 70.

Recently-retired insurance executive Grant Mitchison used his extra leisure time to good effect to win the monthly Ormond Medal with a net 66, reducing his handicap by two shots to 19.
Former club champion Simon Barras won the first class with a net 67, and Colin Reid had further success winning the second class with a net 72.
