Two young entrepreneurs from Dumbarton who run SKapade Studios shared their story of success at the Festival of Youth Enterprise 2019 last week.

Stephen Kirkwood and Steven Galloni spoke about their state-of-the art, award winning, studio which offers music production training, personal development, media workshops and vocational education.

Run annually by Young Enterprise Scotland (YES), a charity that develops young people’s business skills, the festival hosted over 200 S1-S3 students who had the opportunity to engage with industry experts and take part in motivating and inspiring workshops to promote an ‘enterprise for all’ ethos.

The festival took place at the Royal Bank of Scotland’s (RBS) Gogarburn conference centre with a wide range of enterprise activities on the day which included talks and workshops from inspiring young entrepreneurs and inventors.

Speakers at the event included Paula Ritchie, head of business development at the RBS, who supports a team to provide expertise, run events and connect businesses with the right partners to help them achieve their ambitions.

Commenting on the annual festival, YES chief executive, Geoff Leask said: “Events like these help meet both our aim and that of the Scottish Government to have an innovative and successful Scotland in the future.”
