A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged assault of a woman in Brucehill.
A "large police presence" was felt in the area at around 8.30pm yesterday, with eight vehicles being called to Ardoch Crescent.
The woman was taken to hospital, where her condition is unknown, and a 30 year-old man was charged, to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "We were called to reports of a woman being assaulted on Ardoch Crescent last night.
"The woman was taken to hospital and a 30-year-old man was subsequently arrested in charge, and will appear in court today."
The Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
