A rabbit, ferret, and guinea pig are hoping to find their “furr-ever homes” in West Dunbartonshire this Valentine’s Day.

The Scottish SPCA is seeking homes for Cooper, Mr President, and Sprout, who are currently in the care of its Dunbartonshire animal rescue and rehoming centre.

The animals have been at the centre for a combined total of 272 days.

Coooper, a lop rabbit, is said to be a friendly bunny who loves finding treats to nibble on.

Ally Bibby, the centre’s assistant manager, said: “Cooper would be the ‘paw-fect’ match to a home with rabbit experience as he can be sassy at times.

“This boy could potentially live with ‘some-bun’ special after slow and steady introductions. They will need separate living quarters until they become ‘pal-entines’.

“A spacious hutch and a secure outdoor run would be ‘paw-some’ for Cooper to explore and graze.”

Mr President, a “cute and happy” guinea pig, is seeking a home where he can have his own areas to occupy.

Ally said he is a “friendly boy” and that he would make a “wonderful first love” to a home with children.

Speaking about ferret Sprout, Ally added: “He is a bundle of fun and an inquisitive wee guy. He loves to investigate and explore.

“He would benefit from some extra handling in his new home to reach his full ‘pet-ential’.

“Sprout will need a large enclosure with plenty of space and lots of toys and enrichment to keep his heart full.

“His perfect ‘com-paw-nions’ would be adults. Any children in the home would need to be teenagers as, like most ferrets, he can nip when he's being playful.

“If one of these animals could be the ‘bun for you’, please consider giving them their happy ending this Valentine’s Day. You can’t buy love, but you can rescue it!”
