A MAN was rushed to hospital after being attacked by four men on a Dumbarton street last night.

The 41-year-old was set upon on Napier Crescent shortly after 10 pm on Thursday, November 16.

Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment before being released.

The men have all been described as white and of average build. 

The first was wearing a dark puffer jacket with the hood up, dark joggers and trainers.

The second was wearing a beanie-style hat, a dark hoodie, joggers and trainers. 

The third and fourth were wearing full tracksuits.

Police Scotland, who have described the incident as a "serious assault" are appealing for anyone who might have information on the group of men.

Detective Constable Iain Allison said: “Extensive enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances of this incident.

“We are appealing to anyone in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV that could assist our investigation to contact officers.”
