A woman was "punched to the head" by a man and a woman before they then stole her phone during a late-night attack in Alexandria.

The incident - outside a home on Colquhoun Drive  - occurred at around 11.35 pm on Friday.

Emergency services attended and the 39-year-old victim was taken to hospital where she received treatment for a head injury.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at that time on Friday and could have witnessed the incident.

Detective Sergeant Neil Allison said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in Colquhoun Drive late on Friday evening and may have noticed anything suspicious to please get in touch.

“In particular we would ask people with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the surrounding area to check in case they have captured anything which could be of significance.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0002 of Saturday, February 10, 2024.
