A DUMBARTON teenager is set to represent West Dunbartonshire at this year’s Scottish Young Musician Finals.

Ronan Toal, a student at Our Lady & St Patrick’s High School, will perform at the national competition which is being held at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow on Sunday, May 26.

Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter: Fifteen young performers from high schools across the local authority went head to head on the night to be named the Solo Performer of the Year with Ronan scooping the title.

Sophie Ramsay, a vocalist from Dumbarton Academy, and Ben Miller, a pianist from Vale of Leven Academy, were announced as runners-up.
