SENTENCE was further deferred on a man who sprayed a wall in a late night act of vandalism- and later caught with an axe.
John Ferguson, 58, of Halkett Crescent, Alexandria, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last Tuesday for sentencing.
He previously admitted maliciously spraying a wall at the canal bank near to India Street, Alexandria, on May 7 2015.
He also admitted having with him a sharply point blade, namely an axe, without a reasonable excuse, on the same date.
Additional charges of maliciously spraying a wall on March 11 2014 in India Street, as well as police assault and acting in a threatening or abusive manner, and violently struggling with police officers, were deleted by the Crown.
Sentence was deferred from a previous hearing so that a psychiatric report could be obtained and for an update on a Community Payback Order progress report.
But when the case called last week the psychiatric report was not available.
As a result sentencing was further deferred until Thursday, November 24 so that the reports previously called for could be available.
