A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a man charged with attacking his partner and daughter after he failed to turn up for court.

But Sheriff Simon Fraser also issued warrants for their arrests as witnesses who failed to attend the trial hearing last Wednesday.

The Clydebank man, who we have chosen not to name to protect his victims, is alleged to have assaulted his partner on August 4 at a property in Alexandria where he pushed the woman on the body and punched her on the head to her injury.

He is also alleged to have seized his daughter by the body, thrown her to the ground and seized her by the neck and prevented her from standing up.

And the 45-year-old is further charged with shouting, swearing and acting in an aggressive manner causing both women to suffer fear and alarm.
