POLICE Scotland officers have today released an image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries into a serious assault of a young woman.
The woman was attacked near Balloch Road, Balloch, on Sunday, September 11 2016 at around 10.45pm.
But it's only today that an image of the man police want to speak to has been issued.
Detectives are still carrying out extensive enquiries, including reviewing all available CCTV footage.
Officers believe that the male shown in the image may have information that can assist them with their investigation and would ask him or any members of the public who recognise him to come forward.
He is described as white, aged in his 20s, around 5"7 in height, of slim build and with short dark hair.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a long sleeved grey top with a black short sleeved top with a silver logo, black lycra shorts, black "Sondico" socks, grey "Nike" trainers and he was carrying a black rucksack.
He was riding a red Firefox bicycle.
The victim was assaulted by a man she befriended near a footpath which leads near
to Balloch Bridge.
At the time Detective Inspector Grant Macleod, said: "This was a shocking attack on a young girl."
