FIREBUGS in Alexandria are being hunted after a series of weekend incidents.
Over the course of the weekend numerous incidents of wilful fireraising took place in "various streets" in the Alexandria area.
Items set on fire ranged from wheelie bins, wooden pallets and a fridge which had been left out on the street.
Now officers are to continue joint working with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service in a bid to tackle the issue.
In addition, members of the public are asked to be vigilant for crimes of this nature and, as far as possible, not leave combustible materials out in public areas.
If you have any information call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or 101.
