A NEW facility to make life easier for swimmers at the Vale of Leven Pool was inaugurated last week.
The chair lift is designed for use of any swimmer who has difficulty with the traditional pool steps, perhaps because of a disability or as a result of a stroke, and was donated by the Alexandria branch of Age Concern who raised £2,500 for the project.
The group is keen to emphasise that use of it is not restricted to disabled club members but open to anyone who needs it.
They would also like to thank Provost Alastair Macdonald, West Dunbartonshire Council and the pool management and staff for their support and help.
