The talented group of local swimmers brought home the gold from the championships

SWIMMERS from West Dunbartonshire ASC, based at Vale of Leven swimming pool, had a winning trip to Ayr for the West of Scotland district sprint championships.
Winners included Rory Lamont, aged 16, who won gold in the 50m backstroke in 27.25, just missing the Scottish Junior Record by a mere 0.2 seconds, and in the 50m freestyle.
Head Coach Stevie McKirdy said: “I am very proud of the swimmers and their performance.
“Not only are they winning gold medals but are also achieving very fast times.”
