STRICTLY Come Dancing duo Dianne Buswell and Reverend Richard Coles had an extra spring in their step when they practised their fancy footwork skills in Alexandria Community Centre.

The pair, who are contestants in the current series of the hit BBC One show, bagged valuable time to perfect some of their routines after an invite from West Dunbartonshire Leisure.

And Aussie dance sensation Dianne also took time out of her busy schedule to help promote local efforts to get more girls active, more often.

And her advice? - keep dancing!

A West Dunbartonshire Leisure spokesperson said: "Dianne’s Strictly dance partner Reverend Richard Coles was at Loch Lomond filming for a different TV show and they wanted to get in some practice for Strictly while they were here.

"We were only too happy to invite them to use Alexandria Community Centre.

"One of our staff mentioned the Active Girls and Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week campaign and Dianne was delighted to support it, using the #unstoppablegirl hashtag. "

The spokesperson added: "We will be watching Dianne and Richard’s progress on Strictly Come Dancing and wish them all the very best."
