A WOMAN caught in an Alexandria street carrying heroin has escaped a jail sentence.
Yvonne Davies, 35, was searched by police in Main Street, on September 9, 2016, and found to be in possession of 6.7 grammes of the killer drug, which had a street value of £240. She pleaded guilty to the offence at Dumbarton Sheriff Court this week.
Her lawyer told the court: “She clearly has a drug addiction and asks the court to give her the chance of a community payback order.”
Davies, of Kennedy Road, Fort William, was put on a community payback order and told to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
