AN ALEXANDRIA primary school will reopen after being forced to close early due to a lack of heating.
West Dunbartonshire Council confirmed St Mary's Primary would close early shortly before 11am today and asked parents to collect their children as soon as possible.
A statement posted to social media read: "St Mary’s Primary School Alexandria is closing early due to the building having no heating.
"Parents should collect their children as soon as possible from the school.
"Staff will remain at the school to look after pupils until they can be collected as normal."
However, in an updated post the council reassured parents the issue had been resolved and the school would reopen as normal tomorrow.
WDC apologised for any inconvenience the closure caused parents.
