POLICE are appealing for information to help trace a man missing from the Alexandria area.

Mark Connolly from Haldane was reported missing on Tuesday, February 13, by a family member although it is believed that the last possible sighting of him was around 4pm on Sunday, February 11, within the Haldane (Inler) Park.

The 48-year-old is described as around 5ft 10, slim build however possibly very slim at present, cropped very short dark hair and blue eyes.

When last seen he was believed to be wearing blue jeans, blue training shoes and a mustard coloured jacket.

He has lost a significant amount of weight in the last few weeks so may appear thinner than usual to those who know him.

Sergeant Andrew Barron at Dumbarton Police Station said: “Mr Connolly is well known within the local community and is usually in regular contact with family members.

"The fact that no-one has heard from him for several days now causes them great concern and they urge him to contact them to let them know he is safe and well.

“Anyone who has seen him since Sunday 11 February or anyone who knows of his present whereabouts is asked to contact police at Dumbarton via 101 quoting incident number 3528 of February 13.”
