FOOTAGE has today emerged of four police officers chasing after protestors who tried to prevent a nuclear convoy through Balloch by wedging themselves under a police vehicle.

The four-minute film, taken by a person pushing a child in a pram, was taken on Thursday evening.

In the footage officers are seen darting after the protestors as they attempt to delay the procession of vehicles.

But it's not clear if the convoy was stationary beforehand, or if the protestors prompted the stoppage.

In addition, other police officers can be seen springing into action to make sure a military coloured articulated lorry, which sits stationary, is secured.

Traffic in both directions is held up in order that the police officers extract the protestors and take them away.

It's understood that the two people involved in the incident were arrested and detained, pending a court appearance.
