LOCH Lomond & The Trossachs National Park has been shortlisted for a national award recognising employers who support working families.

The National Park has been named as a finalist in Family Friendly Working Scotland’s 2017 Scottish Top Employers for Working Families Awards.

The organisation is a finalist in the Best Public Sector Employer category.

The awards celebrate progressive employers that have successfully embedded family friendly and flexible working practices in particular recognising best practice, innovation and sustainability.

Jaki Carnegie, the Park Authority’s Director of Corporate Services, said: "We believe that our staff are our most valuable asset and we are committed to attracting and retaining the very best people we can.

"We recognise that the ‘standard’ working day is not always compatible with the conflicting demands for a better work-life balance where staff have other caring responsibilities or commitments.

"Every single member of staff has the opportunity to work flexibly, in some shape or form and in return, we have dedicated, passionate, friendly, engaged and professional staff who want to give their best for this beautiful National Park."

The winners of the Scottish Top Employers for Working Families Awards 2017 will be announced on 9th March 2017.
