POLICE are hunting a man who was armed with a knife and threatened shopworkers during an attempted robbery in Balloch.
Detectives say the man entered the Key Store on Balloch Road at 7.30pm on Wednesday, March 15.
The suspect produced a knife at two members of staff and demanded cash - but ran off empty handed.
Police are now searching for the suspect who is described as tall and of slim build and wearing dark clothing.
It's understood he was wearing a green and white Celtic scarf around his face in a bid to conceal his identity.
The Reporter understands that neither member of staff was injured during the incident but they were left understandably shaken.
Police are continuing their inquiries and scanning CCTV footage in the area.
