NATURE lovers have been invited to a special restoration project to restore a Balloch meadow to its former glory.

Green-fingered helpers will meet at the courtyard building with Balloch Country Park to kick start the work.

Organisers promise visitors will join in on a fun day of broom bashing while working to clear the way for wildflower planting in the meadow.

This is the start of a winter long project which aims to improve biodiversity as well as reopening up the views to Loch Lomond from the park.

No experience is required and there are jobs for all abilities, even those who want to pop by and learn more about the project are welcome to attend the session.

Workers are asked to remember to bring appropriate clothing and sturdy boots or wellies as the winter weather is expected to be out in force.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided for all the would-be gardeners taking place in the event.

The session takes place on Thursday, November 30, from 10am to 3pm.
