British Transport Police officers are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a teenage girl was allegedly subjected to racist and sexual comments on board a train at Balloch station.
The incident is said to have happened between 8.50pm and 9.20pm on May 13.
A young boy – who was amongst a group of four other boys aged between 14-17 – is said to have shouted a racially inappropriate and sexually explicit comment to the girl. The boy is said to have left the train at Balloch station – along with another boy from the group - after the driver refused to move the train until he did so.
He is described as being aged between 12-13, white, approximately 4ft 6ins, with short fair hair.
Witnesses or anyone recognising the description should text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting 474 of 22 May, or contact Crimestoppers.
