Fun was the order of the day when the pupils at Bonhill Primary School staged their annual pantomime.

This year the school's P4 to P7 pupils produced a take on the always popular Aladdin story.

And their version - 'Aladdin in Trouble' - was equally as enjoyable.

Parents roared with laughter and were bursting with pride at seeing their little ones perform for an hour and a half.

And in the end everyone had an absolute blast.

As always, though, it was a team effort with the show directors of Laura Campbell, Linda McGhee, Fiona Mitchell, Rachael McHard and Sarah Riach doing some sterling work to ensure the kids were ready for their big performance.

P7 teacher Laura Campbell said: "We had an absolute blast and some really good fun. The children have been really enthusiastic, they've been amazing.

"We have been preparing for this since early November and doing some work on it during our After School club, so everyone has worked really hard.

"The parents absolutely loved it and the feedback we've received has been really positive."

Ms Campbell also revealed how some of the children could be forgiven for returning to school with a yawn or two after their big stage exploits.

She said: "Some of them were tired when they came back for the normal school day, so I'd imagine they'll have an early night!"

The school staff would like to thank all the pupils for their hard work and efforts and the parents and grandparents who came along to support the day.
