GROUPS of young performers from Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Academies showed their talents last week on the dance floor.
The pupils participated in the West Dunbartonshire Festival of Dance hosted by Braidfield High School in Clydebank.
The event involved 250 pupils representing 14 secondary schools from in and around West Dunbartonshire from Cumbernauld to Helensburgh.
Four pupils from Dumbarton Academy were Sarah McKechnie, Louise Jamieson, Jocylin Duff and Rhona McCaughey, while a larger number of girls represented Vale Academy.
The Festival was designed to incorporate a range of dance styles including disco, modern, jazz, contemporary and national dance and the pupils were encouraged to design their own choreography.
