THIS weekend’s planned closure of the southbound A82 in Dumbarton for resurfacing has been postponed.

Scotland TranServ, on behalf of Transport Scotland, was planning to deliver a short road surface improvement project from April 7 to 10 that would have seen the southbound carriageway between Garshake Road and Greenhead Road closed.

However, due to a landslip on a railway line in Glasgow – which requires a replacement bus service to operate for passengers travelling to and from Crianlarich – the decision has been taken to postpone the A82 works.

The works will be rescheduled and a new date to be announced in due course.
