It is understood that the road was closed in both directions after an accident on Stirling Road, near Dunbritton Road, at about 5pm.
The Reporter has learned that a vehicle crashed into a car showroom.
Multiple emergency services have been in attendance.
Commuters still face queues in both directions, however the road is now reopen.
This latest incident on the A82 would be the second major incident in just over a month.
