Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with a serious assault in Alexandria.
The assault happened at the Stuckie Bridge, near to Halkett Crescent on Monday, June 22.
A 35-year-old man was left injured after being struck over the head at about 6.30pm.
He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, and released after treatment.
A police spokesman said today that a 25-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with the attack.
The man is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court at a later date.
