A collision between a car and a van closed the road for more than an hour after the incident, which happened around 10.30am on Wednesday morning.
It happened near Colgrain Equestrian Farm, between Cardross and Helensburgh.
The woman, thought to have been in the car, was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley after the incident.
