Gartocharn Primary School is closed today (Friday) due to a power cut which is affecting the village.
Storm Gertrude has battered the west coast of Scotland over Thursday night and Friday morning with heavy rainfall, flooding and high winds causing wide-spread disruption to road users and rail services.
A spokeswoman for West Dunbartonshire Council said: "We've been forced to close Gartocharn Primary this morning due to a power cut which is affecting the village.
"The school has no electricity following an outage caused by the storm. All parents are being contacted.
"We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and will provide further updates as soon as we receive them from the power supplier.
"All other schools remain open."
