RESIDENTS from across Dumbarton and the Vale are being urged to join #TeamCHAS this year.

Thrill-seekers keen to do their bit to raise cash for the Children's Hospice Association Scotland are invited to challenge themselves with a range of fundraising events across the nation.

From physical to mental challenges - and even both - there are a whole host of different activities to enjoy.

Walkers keen to make a difference are invited to don their kilts and lace up their walking shoes to take part in the annual Kilt Walk as part of Walkie Talkie.

Taking place on April 30, participants have a choice of three walks to attempt including the six mile Wee Wander, 15 mile Big Stroll and of course the 23 mile Mighty Stride.

All paths lead to Moss O Balloch Park where thousands of walkers will celebrate their monumental fundraising challenge.

By joining #TeamCHAS, residents will be pledging their support for Scotland's only children's hospice dedicated to offering vital services for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

The organisation currently supports more than 415 families across the country as well as a significant number of families who receive bereavement support.
