As part of Transport Scotland’s strategic trunk road maintenance programme, Scotland TranServ will carry out essential overnight lane marking works on the Erskine Bridge southbound.

In order to complete these works as quickly and safely as possible, it will be necessary to close the bridge southbound from 10pm on Saturday November 25 until 6am on Sunday November 26.

Peter McCann, Scotland TranServ’s major bridges manager said: “We’ve worked closely with Police Scotland, the local authorities and key stakeholders to schedule these works for the period of lowest traffic disruption. Access will be provided for emergency vehicles only during this short programme of overnight works.

“The lane markings are in need of improvement, particularly as the winter approaches with limited light during peak travel periods. It is important that the markings are visible, and that’s why we are carrying out this essential project.”
