Pupils from the five local primary schools had to think fast on their feet as they took part in a dodgeball festival as part of the Active Schools programme.

Primary four pupils from St Peter’s, Aitkenbar, Knoxland, St Patrick’s and St Michael’s primaries participated in the tournament, which was hosted by Our Lady and St Patrick’s High School.

The competition had a round robin format and each school took on every other school twice in a series of games lasting six minutes each.

The event was organised as part of Active Schools’ West Dunbartonshire Schools Games and each school who attended gained ten participation points for their school.

And it was well worth it, as the pupils had a great time and loved the opportunity to use the great facility at OLSP and play in the school's huge games hall.

Emma McCluskey, Active Schools coordinator for the Dumbarton area, said: “What a great atmosphere at OLSP for our 2018 P4 dodgeball festival! Big Smiles and rosy cheeks all round as the pupils had a blast playing dodgeball."
