Police attended Knoxland Primary School this morning following a report that a six-year-old had been hit by a car.
The little boy was understood to have been arriving at the school in Dumbarton at around 9am when a car is said to have "caught his foot".
Police say the ambulance service planned to take him to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for a precautionary x-ray, but that the boy “seems fine”.
West Dunbartonshire Council have been approached for comment.
