ONE of the leading – and most controversial – names in mobile and nightlife entertainment, Zander Nation, is returning to Cheers Nightclub in Dumbarton.

Zander Nation, who began providing the top local DJs to some of the biggest bars and clubs around the world, will be at the 1 Brewers Lane venue on Saturday, May 26.

In 2015, the Zander Nation brand held a residency over the summer in the luxurious party city Marbella in the Costa Del Sol, Spain.

Despite all the jet setting, their DJs have maintained their local roots and play at various locations throughout Scotland, such as: O2 Carling Academy, 69 Below The Tunnel, Replay, Fantoosh Paisley, Cheers Dumbarton, Marbella, Ibiza, Stereofunk festival, Classic Grand, Downtown East Kilbride, Truth Nightclub Leven, Harlem Dunfermline, Bar Buddha, Glasgow, Highlander Bar, Ibiza, Kilties Bar Ibiza and Megabar and Hype Superclub.

Zander Nation, however, has caused controversy recently with a clip, posted on January 7 showing a group of little girls jumping around dancing, waving their phones in the air as they chant “here we f****** go”.

In just over a week, the clip had close to 300,000 views and has also divided opinion. The footage has already racked up 1,700 shares and more than 2,000 likes on Facebook.

Many Facebook fans saw the funny side of the chant and applauded the kids for having a good time.

A spokesman for Zander Nation told the Reporter: “It will be a strictly over-18 gig, as are all our events. We have been in Dumbarton a few times and they are nearly always sold out.

“We like to come to Dumbarton about three times a year as we have a great following.”

Recently, Zander Nation has had two videos released.

David Alexzander, 33, of Zander Nation, also calls himself “Disco Dave” and will be at Dumbarton that night, joined by another two DJs from the organisation, who will be playing sets throughout the gig.

Tickets are priced £9.05 from 01389 742333. The event is from 11pm until 4am.
