THE Scottish SPCA is asking animal lovers to donate sensitive and hypoallergenic food and also wood pellet cat litter to help the abused, abandoned and injured animals currently in the care of its Dumbarton animal rescue and rehoming centre.

The centre is struggling to keep up with demand as they’re going through their current supplies very quickly.

Centre manager Joe McDade said, “We’re caring for a large number of dogs and cats at the moment and as a result we’re going through food and cat litter really quickly.

“We’d be grateful if locals could lend their support.

“We are very lucky that people regularly hand in items to our centre and we currently have lots of donated food for our other animals.

“We would greatly appreciate any donations of sensitive and hypoallergenic food as it is great for the dogs in our care with sensitive stomachs.”

Donations can be dropped off at the Milton centre between 10am and 4pm every day except Tuesday.

You can also donate items online by going to the charity’s Amazon wish list at amzn.eu/dsX5tLZ.
